REVIEW: Infinity Window - Artificial Midnight

7.5 out of 10

New Yorker's Dan Lopatin (OPN) and Taylor Richardson want to massage your brain. They want all of your attention to become paralyzed. And if you allow them to, they will take all of your focus/stress/pains and melt them over oodles and oodles of mind-numbing haunting/gazey atmospheric drones and synths.

Infinity Window have been making their brand of psychedelic drone music for a little over a year now. As far as I can find "Artificial Midnight" is their only release. And, if you're not quick enough (only 500 LPs made), you may just miss out on one of the best John Carpenter/Tangerine Dream-esque inspired drone bands ever. The album consists of one-note effect's stretched, skewed and distorted over waves of synths and truly horrifying drones. It's simple, but intense.

I you're looking for outer-body music DO NOT PASS THIS album up. Highly recommended drone music. Excuse me, I have to go mop up my brain from the floor now.

Standout Tracks: Both sides are amazing.
